I was taking bart back from the mechanics and need to get pay my $1.50 for muni. Of course, I had a $1 a $5 and $240 in $20s. But the machine wouldn’t take my $5. I tried both machines. I tried them again and again.

I walked way and looked for other machines. There were none. Then, out of the blue, without speaking, an angel gave me $1.00 and $0.50 and walked away before I could utter a word. I dutifully got my change and walked to the turn style. I looked for her, but she was gone.

I think I saw her at Cole and Carl, my stop for the day. But I can’t be sure.

When an angel pays for you muni ticket, you know you’re having a good day.
