Are rose colored glasses wrong?

I’m sitting in a shuttle bus looking at the Chicago skyline thinking that Chicagoans have every right to be proud of their architecture downtown when I realized that I am wearing my rise colored glasses and that maybe, just maybe they are artificially improving my experience / perpective.
Hence the question: is that wrong?
