Bon Jour Paris!

June 24

We woke around 10am and Tom and the kids set off for the first destination of the day – Sacre Cour. We took the bus almost to the top and made our way inside the coolness of the church as soon as we could.

The views were fantastic and despite the heat we enjoyed our visit. On the way down we stopped at Evie’s favorite little shop where she bought a bracelet for a friend. It is fantastic, IMHO, that Evie has a favorite boutique in Paris!

Our next stop was the Pompidou museum of modern art, one of Tom’s favorite museums. Eva has made reservations at the fantastic restaurant George at the top of the museum. What views!

After a slow but elegant lunch (Tyler enjoyed the escargot!), we made our way into the museum. Modern art is very hit or miss, but there are enough Picasso, Miri, and Kandinsky paintings interspersed to make the exhibits enjoyable.

Around 5pm Eva and the kids went home while Tom rented an electric scooter and cruised along the Seine. Around 7:30, Tom and Eva went out to dinner while the kids stayed home with leftovers and screens. Our favorite Restaurant Duck was too hot as their AC broke so we found a lovely Tapas place in the shade and had a lovely meal.
Home around 10 everyone was snoozing by 11am, albeit intermittently for the boys who were still a little jet lagged.
