Day 3 – To Yosemite
June 19 – Dorrington, CA
It’s Tuesday, and that means it’s time to head to Yosemite! Our plan was to leave around 3 PM to get to our campground around six. After another lazy lovely morning it was time to send the kids off to the pool so around 10am they were whisked off to the nearby swimming pool while the grown-ups cleaned and packed.
Around 1pm, the grownups joined the kids at the pool and after lounging and eating a bit we enjoyed a few holes of Frisbee golf.
Of course, we left later than we thought, leaving more like five. Then we realized we forgot Evie’s backpack, and thankfully it was delivered to us by just as we were getting our to go food from Murphy’s. Around 6pm we left Murphy’s and rolled into our Crane Flat campsite around 8:30 as the light was beginning to fade.
We made quick work of our tent set up and by 10pm everyone was snoozing. Good thing as tomorrow we climb half dome and need to be up by 6am.
