Day 2 – Lake Alpine Fun
June 18 – Dorrington, CA
Another lovely morning in Arnold and around one-ish we finally managed to pull ourselves out of the president play area that is in the cabin.
We drove about 30 minutes to Lake Alpine just passed Bear Valley and plopped ourselves on a sunny, sandy spot by the road. The Comptons had some inflatable kayaks and within minutes kids were paddling out to the rock islands in the middle of the lake. Tyler and Tom flew their drone around and took some amazing panorama shots.
Sue and Tom walked around the lake for a few hours. When they returned it was time to go and a quick pack up and we were back at the cabin for dinner around 7 PM.
Screens, games, studio designing, and laughing was on order until it was bedtime.
Summer has begun when much of the day involves doing practically nothing.
