Another International Birthday for Sue

We started our day in casual fashion enjoying the comforts of the Turner’s fantastic home. Around 11:30 we set off for our only scheduled destinations for the day, St. Pauls Cathedral. The line was long and the price was expensive, so rather than do the full tour of the cathedral we took advantage of the small chapel allocated for worshipers. It gave us a peek into the beautiful and majestic cathedral.

After our short visit, we strolled across the millennium Bridge to the Tate museum to take in the panorama from its roof deck. From there, we walked to the Boondocks market for some creative street food. We took a boat on the Thames a few stops along the water to Westminster Bridge. From there we took the Tube to the still edgy Camden Town for some people watching and market shopping. Evie found a bracelet and we all enjoyed our time in Camden.

We returned home around 6:30 in time for the Turner, the Yang, and the Kramer adults to all go out to the excellent Argentinian restaurant around the corner from their house. It’s clear to see why Hamstead it’s one of the most desirable neighborhoods in London. It does indeed have its own little village feel and yet is still only 20 minutes to central London by the underground.

It’s hard to believe that our week in London is drawing to a close. It is certainly true that London did not disappoint! And as always it was wonderful to spend time with the Turners and their lovely children.
